Mann. Here is a photo of (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8705 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are FS-24M road switchers built by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 2,400 horsepower each. #8705 was constructed in September of 1956. In this context, they're serving as eastbound pushers up to the tunnels in Gallitzin. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
