PRR 5040, H-9S, c. 1945         
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5040, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "1241" during August of 1913, renumbered "5040" in 1915, and retired in October of 1950 after 37 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Gary Mittner Collection.
