| By the time L272 made it back, the CIND rack train was gone, which gave them a route into the yard. After throwing the switch lining the Brookville Branch to the main, the train headed into the yard. We grabbed a final shot of the train passing the CIND yard sign. This truly was the cherry on top. I have been trying to catch a train on this section of track for so long, and can finally say that I have. Definitely a wild day for Dad and I! We had an eastbound on CSX coming, but we decided to opt out on it and end on a high note. After grabbing some supper at Freddys in Harrison, we made the 3 hour drive back toward home. Definitely will be one of the best railfanning days of the year by far! |
